Green Waste Disposal at Transfer Station

Hi neighbors:

See below for info on FREE BRUSH DISPOSAL at the Eldorado transfer station (dump) on MAY 12 and 13. We usually plan our all-neighbors summer clean up in June, but there's no need to wait to work on clearing out your dead trees, tree limbs and brush. It was just one year ago that we had two back-to-back fires in the area, one off OLVH that spurred a confusing evacuation call and a second on Cresta Pequena, which resulted in the total loss of a home and pets.

Once again, it's dry, it's hot and it's windy, and we are all at risk.

We will be scheduling another all-neighbors fire safety & neighborhood meeting at the Hondo 2 station in early June with more info on working with the fire dept to create defensible space around your house. In the meantime, please walk through your property and consider how neglected brush even far from your house could impact the entire neighborhood.

And special thanks to our neighbor Jaome, who lives at the bottom of the road, for this information. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS: only about half the residents in the neighborhood are on the email list; please double-check with your immediate neighbors that they are aware of the opportunity for FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL MAY 12-13 @ the Eldorado Transfer Station.

(A volunteer to make a poster for the bulletin board would be welcomed!!!)
